Holiday magic returns with Ballet Jörgen’s beloved production, The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition. Created by acclaimed choreographer Bengt Jörgen and set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, this enchanting ballet brings warmth, wonder, and a distinctly Canadian spirit to the holiday season. Inspired by a partnership with the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the production features over 100 vibrant costumes and stunning backdrops drawn from iconic Group of Seven paintings. Audiences follow Klara on a dreamlike journey through snowy landscapes filled with lumberjacks, Mounties, woodland creatures, and magic. With delightful characters, beautiful dancing, and a breathtaking pas-de-deux performed by Lord and Lady Birch, this uniquely Canadian Nutcracker is a festive tradition for all ages.
