Blending drag, performance art, history, and storytelling, Travesty traces the secret queer history of a single location across time. A witch burns in a field. A clown builds a theatre. An underground gay bar rises up against the police. Through a series of spectacular lip-sync performances, Velour embodies characters from different eras and explores the enduring cycles of existence, resistance, and camp that define drag.
