Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators (2026-27)

Third-party recommender program funding any type of theatre-based creation activity (excluding productions). Theatre creators apply through OAC's Nova system directly to designated theatre-company recommenders, who assess applications and make recommendations to OAC. Open to professional theatre artists who are Ontario residents and to ad hoc groups/collectives with a majority of Ontario-resident members. The 2026-27 application window runs September 8, 2026 to January 8, 2027 (1 p.m. ET) — or earlier if the program budget is spent, so apply early.
